Birding By Boat on the Osprey

Fun and intimate tour with very knowledgeable guides - if you are super nerdy and into animals and birding you need to add this to your 'to-do' list when in the area. Nice that they even provide binoculars and booklets. You can tell how passionate they are about wildlife and wish to share that knowledge as much as possible.

Capt. Bob delivers the best experience to see the birds of Cape May! This was our third trip and was the best yet. Bob knows the details on bird nesting and migration. I am a wildlife photographer and photographed 5 species for the vey first time. We will be back!

This is my third time on one of the Birding by Boat cruises. Captain Bob is extremely knowledgeable, and this time he had a Naturalist aboard to share his expertise. Even if you are not into shore birds, the cruise through the bay and wetlands is a wonderful experience. We have already booked another cruise later this month.

We have been on the Osprey several times. Bob never ceases to amaze me. We always see birds. He can identify quickly and point the birds out. He is always fun and interested in our questions.

Great trip. We saw a colony of Common Terns with chicks. We saw Ospreys, Snowy Egrets, Double Breasted Cormorants, Semi Palmated Plovers, Short-billed Dowitcher, American Oyster catchers, Willets, Black Skimmers, Least Sandpiper, Ruddy Turnstones, Black Crowned Night Herons and a Black Bellied Plover.
